Dear all,
This Saturday, that is tomorrow, there is NO class as I need the time to prepare for the LC examinations.
Do matke good use of the time to revisit the Prelim Papers, especially those questions that we had gone through for the three days.
Relook at the Star questions to check if you see the diagram.
Have a good weekend and I will see you on Monday. There is Supplementary lesson on Monday.
Love you,
Mrs Mak

Prelim Practice 8b
Dear all,
For Q13, angle z is the acute angle at point B. It is blocked by the shaded area of the triangle.
Do make use of these few days to reflect what you can do to ensure you can have a fruitful revision before 29 Sept. Be
S- specific (have a timeline to set yourself on the subject or topic you want to revise)
M- measureable ( how can you tell your revision is effective? )
A-achieveabe ( how do you know you have achieved your target or aim in that revision?
R- results ( if you were to do a parallel question on that concept, can you apply it and fully understand
how to solve the problem?)
T- timebound ( with one hour, can you maximise your time to revise or it was wasted because you have
squandered the time daydreaming or doing something else).
Love,
Mrs Mak

Maths Paper 23 August 2011
Dear darlings,
For the Maths Paper tomorrow, remember to bring your CAREFUL friend with you. Be meticulous in your checking. Ensure that ALL questions are attempted and workings are all shown. Please do not ASSUME the markers can read your mind if you do not show your workings.
ALL QUESTIONS must be COMPLETED!!!
Last but not least, School bags! Bring a small bag.
-Your recess will be at 9am. You should finish the Paper 2 by 12pm. So you only bring your Science stuff.
- Place your school bag neatly in two rows outside the classroom.
Most importantly for tomorrow, READ your questions carefully and be at your best behaviour. Your future is in your hands.
Love you always,
Mrs Mak

Dear all,
I went to look up the book which you will be receiving at a later date on choosing your Secondary Schools.
I thought you had better be well informed of the cut-off points. The results are based on 2010's cohort, thus when you get your book this year, there may be some changes to the cut-off points. Use the data below as a reference:
Express NA
Anderson 248 - 268 189 - 199
Bowen 221 - 245 182 - 199
Catholic High 249 - 264
Cedar Girls 244 - 271
Compassvale 217 - 243 178 - 198

Remember Ms Chua spoke to you about the IMPORTANT word "CHOICE" and the MOST FEARFUL word "REGRET"?
Which word would you choose? The choice is YOURS...
Always there for you,
Mrs Mak

Dear All,

Reflection : Nobody ever did, or ever will, escape the consequences of his choices. - Alfred A. Montepart
1. Mavis and Janice have some beads each. If Mavis gives 30 beads to Janice, she will have 4 times as many beads as Janice. If she gives 150 beads to Janice, she will have 1 1/2 times as many beads as Janice. Find the number of beads Mavis has.
2. There were some marbles in Box X and Box Y. 1/4 of the marbles in Box Y were taken out and put into Box X. After this, both Box Y and Box X contained the same number of marbles. If there were 120 marbles in Box X in the beginning, how many marbles were there in Box Y at first?
